PROFILE

SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Dr. M. Julleh Jalalur Rahman is Professor of Geological Sciences at Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. Dr. Rahman received his doctoral degree  in geology in 1999 from the University of Vienna, Austria. He worked as post-doctoral /experienced research fellow at Okayama University (Japan), University of Bonn (Germany), University of Liverpool (UK) and CSIRO (Australia) as JSPS, Humboldt, Commonwealth Academic Fellow and Endeavour Executive Fellow.

Dr. Rahman was visiting professor at the  Institute of Geology and Geophysics of Chenese Acaemy of Sciences (CAS), Beijing from September 2015 to February, 2016; December 2018 to May 2019 under CAS PIFI  2015 Visiting Fellowship. He has been awarded again CAS PIFI 2020 Visiting scholar for collaborative research at Lanzhou Oil and Gas Resources Center, Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Lanzhou, China. His  research is concentrated on clastic sedimentology, sediment geochemistry and diagenesis.
